These are the makeup products I use every day or have tried. Everyone's skin is different and these are natural products so there is always the possibility of a reaction. There are so many natural products out there so it is really important to read the ingredients and decide what is acceptable to you. There are some ingredients that are questionable to me from what I have researched. Dimethicone is said to possibly cause acne and there are claims that it can be contaminated. However, reputable companies say that they test their products for contaminants so sometimes it comes down to trusting the company. I decided to trust Jane Iredale products for occasional use - their foundation has an SPF rating which I like so I use it if I'm going to be in the sun. Crunchi foundation also contains dimethicone - their makeup is actually certified organic meaning it doesn't contain nasty chemicals. Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbate are both preservatives that some claim are toxic even though they are natural - but in small quantities they are supposedly ok. You can find a lot of information about them online. Usually the studies show that they can be toxic at concentrations much higher than what is used in any product. I guess just like anything- too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. I try to avoid both of them especially in a product I will be leaving on my skin but it is sometimes necessary to have a preservative and it's really hard to avoid them!
